Our Mission
Because traditional civic and societal safety nets have begun to weaken and disappear, establishing trust and support at the local level has become increasingly important. LocalChange was created so that communities can quickly and confidently direct their energy and resources where they matter most.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.
Our Vision
We believe that local communities shouldn’t be at the mercy of quickly shifting political landscapes or vanishing government budgets. LocalChange is a resilient, self-sustaining societal platform that empowers citizens to coordinate and support one another.
One of the marvelous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn’t as individuals.
Our Values
Civic infrastructure belongs to all of us. LocalChange is a no-cost community-focused platform, accessible to all, and built to ensure that local causes have the same opportunity to be discovered and supported as global ones.
There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.
Why LocalChange
Built different, by design.
IRS-Sourced Trust
Every organization is cross-referenced against the IRS Business Master File.
Always Free
No subscriptions, no paywalls, no ads. Civic infrastructure should be a public good — not a product.
Verified + Contextual
LocalChange brings together verified public information and community context to create clearer, more useful nonprofit profiles.
The people behind it
Co-Founders
LocalChange was created by two Gaston County residents who believe civic trust infrastructure should belong to everyone.
